Aloha Farm Friends, We want to welcome you to our third Feast for Farms Benefit Dinner. The Feast for Farms series is designed to help raise money for small farms and co-producers who create exceptional, high-quality products that support food sustainability in Hawaii. Each event highlights two local co-producers, live music, a silent auction, volunteer chefs, and an extensive food and beverage menu. The inspiration for this event's menu is "Rustic Italian" cuisine. We will be celebrating the outstanding quality of fresh Hawaii grown produce with the help of our Hale'iwa-based friends at Waialua Growers and Counter Culture Organic Farm. Waialua Growers is a small farm that specializes in high-end and unique culinary herbs. Counter Culture Organic Farm is a small farm that was started by four close friends (Rob, Laarni, Daniel, Gabe) with a passion for sustainable agriculture and fermented food. The evening will start with a social hour featuring a specialty cocktail. During this time, we will have a silent auction. After the cocktail social hour, we will all sit down for a rustic Italian family-style dinner. There will be variety of wine and beer to compliment the bright and bold flavors presented in this menu. Sit back and relax to some live music as we bring to you each dish on our café's lanai overlooking beautiful Mauna Kuwale and Lualualei Valley. We will finish the evening with a dessert and coffee bar that will include a digestivo infused with local herbs and spices. All proceeds go towards supporting Kahumana Farms and our co-producers. Kahumana is expanding, having recently purchased an additional 8 acres of land. Your attendance supports the monumental task of preparing the land for farming by removing the invasive kiawe and haole koa that covers our Waianae landscape. We hope to offer you an exceptional dining experience in exchange for your support of our mission to grow as much local and organic food as possible.
