Hanauma Bay is a must-visit during your stay on the island and is located less than 30 minutes from the resort.
Yes, snorkeling is permitted at the bay, with snorkel sets available for rent at $20 for a standard set and $40 for a premium set of equipment. Visitors can also book the official Hanauama Bay Snorkel Tour for $25, which includes roundtrip transportation to/from the resort, snorkel equipment and instructions, and time on the beach.
If you plan on taking the Waikiki Shuttle or snorkeling on an organized tour, you must make reservations, otherwise visitors can drop in at anytime. However, because Hanauma Bay is a protected preserve, the number of daily visitors is limited to 3,000 so guests are advised to arrive as early as possible to guarantees admission.
